This expedition cruise ship was especially designed for Australis, with the dimensions and characteristics necessary to navigate the peculiar geography of Tierra del Fuego, its shallow waterways and narrow fjords. Its construction was carried out in the Chilean city of Valdivia, in one of the most popular shipyards in the region. The navigation tools and engine room equipment were imported from various countries, from suppliers that complied with our highest standards in the areas of security and sustainability.

This ship has three lounges which all offer spectacular views of the Patagonian landscape and have been especially designed for guests to relax, attend on-board lectures and documentary screenings as well as enjoy refreshments from our bar and cafe. The bar, located in the Darwin Lounge, is open from 10:00 AM to Midnight. The Sky Lounge offers a self-service café from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The Yamana Lounge offers a more intimate and quiet setting, ideal for reading or spending an afternoon playing board games.
